| How far will the Angels go? |

I'm excited to be going to Angels Spring Training this weekend! I'm wondering how far people are thinking they can make it this season? |
|
I think they will win their division, but lose in the first round of the playoffs. I think Vlad is awesome! |

they will be stopped at the end of the season! they will go nowhere. ALCS... look at the pitching! When your worst starting pitcher won the Cy Young two years ago.... you have a beast staff. But their hitting won't get them past the Yankees. Not as far as most people think. They should consider themselves lucky if they win the west. The Angels look good for the AL West. Seattle has greatly improved, but is it enough? Texas and Oakland lost key personnel. The Angels picked up Hillenbrand and Matthews. They already have a strong starting rotation and a potent 8th and 9th combo of Shields and Frankie. Will they go past the first round? Way too early to guess. Hopefully not too far. =) The Angels are the favorite in the west. Texas and Seattle have offense, but no pitching. They will beat the Yankees in the playoffs. They always do. Angels are the only team with a winning record against NY since Torre came on as manager. Not very far with their pitching staff. Angels arguably have the best mix of seasoned vets and young talent on one roster. Don't really know what's going to happen with that Gary Matthews situation but if he's still on the team and putting up numbers like he did last year, if Garret Anderson returns to 2002 form, and if Casey Kotchman finally has his breakout season, the Angels stack up well to the Yanks offensively. |
