| How Long Does Your Baseball Season Last? |
|
After the World Series Im exhausted. I start getting excited about baseball again around Thanksgiving. Cant wait to get baseball posters, books, clothes etc for Christmas. January 1st I think about Roberto Clemente. January 2nd I get current with the off-season trades and signings. By February I go completely insane without baseball. Pitchers and catchers report. Rest of the team follows. Make predictions. Early March is Spring Training but only a few games on radio. Phew, April 1st is here and we start all over again. |

Really cool question. |

Opening Week is exciting. Then its 5 months of nothing until October which would be exciting except for the fact hockey starts and football is still in the early stages. All year round. I hope for baseball to start as soon as it is done. I look forward to opeingday after the last game of the worlds series. Believe it or not, my baseball addiction is year round. Yes, it wanes a little during the offseason-especially right after the World Series, but I check the sports section for trades, rumors, etc right up until pitchers and catchers report. Thankfully I am a hockey fan, so I have that obsession to get me through the offseason without actual baseball games. Spring Traning +162 Games + time in between games + Playoffs+few weeks after playoffs +few weeks before spring training. If you include, (pitchers and catchers) in by Feb. 15th, to spring training games in early March, to the regular season from April to the end of September, to the playoffs and world series, which can now take you into the first week of November, that's 10 calender months. Well, this will answer your question. One day some people at work were talking about there favorite season, and while some were answering summer, winter, fall and spring, I answered baseball. LOL |
