| Any hope for an allrounder to play college baseball? |

Hi, |

If you can pitch or catch the odds would be very good. Grades don't hurt you but they also don't help you. What will help you is a strong arm and to impress the coaches. Getting in at a jr college that has a good Baseball program can get you transfered to a bigger school if you show talent. Pitchers and catchers are always in short supply. Hard to find people with both talent and desire at those spots. If your exceptionally fast you can try for CF, SS or 2b. There is far more competition and locals are well known and scouted so it'll be harder for you. Biggio who collected his 3,000th hit recently started as a catcher. Kendall until he mangled his leg was also very fast. |

It depends on where you play. Sure. But coming from outside the US there are some things you need to do. Contact the NCAA.ORG to find out what you need to do to become eligible. You also must be cleared through the NCAA Clearinghouse (They work with but are not a part of the NCAA) in order to even walk on anywhere. www.sportsworx.com can help with the whole process. you wouldn't make it as a pitcher... but if you could play another position in the field and if you could hit well i guess you would have a chance |
