| Ever been to your team's spring training? |

Some buddies and I are planning a trip out to Mesa this spring to watch some spring training games and party. Anyone ever gone to your team's ST? I've heard you can get good seats and autographs easy, any truth? And most importantly, they do sell beer at the parks right? |

YES, yes & Yes! Spring Training in Mesa is a really fun trip. We went last year to see the CUBS. It was a lot of fun. I would recommend going towards the beginning of Spring Training. We were there towards the end & the players weren't as friendly to the fans but I think at the begining they are better about giving autographs & such. The parks are nice there. They are small, and most all the seats are closer than you would be when you go to a game at home. If you can, go to at least one game in the lawn. I think they let you bring a blanket and a picnic lunch. It's A LOT of fun & YES, they have beer there ;) |

oh yeah i went when i was little got tons of stars autographs and still have them take bats and balls so you have something cool to remember it by i also got to hang out with some of teh stars daughters. IT WAS AWESOME they do sell beer at the fields in Florida... I haven't been to any of the games, but I hear they have a pretty good time at these games and yes, you can get alot closer with the players than at a regular game.. Yes I've been to Winter Haven, Florida for the Cleveland Indians spring training. It SO MUCH FUN. Seats are great all over, autographs are easy. I go to Tucson every year to watch spring training. The parks are smaller and more intimate, and you can get autographs if you get there early. And, yes, they do serve beer. Good times. Buddies? Are these guy buddies? I'm jealous... Nope I haven't been to my teams spring training, (the Padres) seeing as how my team plays in Arizona and that's where I live... Whatever lol. No not really. I mean being in the Navy and being deployed doesn't really help. |
