How has baseball changed america?

how it has changed the youth of america

Going back a bit in history, you could say that baseball proved that it was possible for sports to succeed economically in America, and it thus became possible for men to make a living by playing a sport. Baseball was really the first sport to do this. The first 'professional' team was the Cincinnate Reds, and they were formed in the 1860s. The National League was organized in 1876 (prior to that there was a league called, I think, the American Association, which lasted form 1871 to 1875).

there is more assault on the city streets with baseball bats then hockey sticks , basketballs , or footballs

It has given us something in common to talk about and root for.

how it has changed the youth of america? well lets see back in the day when kids used real bats (wooden bats) and not these bats that you barely touch the freaking ball and it goes 300 feet i mean its ridiculous when a kid can hit a 290 feet homerun in the little league world series and everybody's empressed come on if the kid hits a 290 foot shot with a wooden bat i'll give his *** props.
