It is a real tradition here in Massachusetts. When the Red Sox won the World Series...the cemeteries were loaded with flowers, pennants and balloons...a remembrance of and to the parents who introduced their kids to the home team in their youth. .

I may not always go on Memorial Day. Last year I did that and got blocked by a parade (Massachusetts person here too). I will go to my Dad's and Bros graves Saturday and probabably Sunday. Sat to see what I need to do next (was just there 2 weeks ago). Sun to plant if I need to.

Making their graves the best in the Cemetary makes my Mom happy. 45 minutes 1 way means nothing compared to Mom's happiness.

I visit and pray, but I don't decorate. My Aunt Marsha is in charge of that. I saw a special a while back on HBO that showed all these people leaving BoSox memorabilia for their ancestors after the Sox FINALLY won the WS. It made me tear up, and i'm a life long Tigers fan! Just imagine what will happen if the Cubs ever get to the promised land!
