The yankess should have used that money to sign 2 starting pitchers not older than 30 years, one who is in the top 5 and another in the top 15 to get youth and great team chemistry. Right now there is a doubt that the yankees will make the playoffs and they look like fools for overpaying Roger Clemens.

Because Roger Clemens draws alot of fans even though the Yankess do not have that problem,and also that are trying to duplicate what the Astros did in 2005,having Clemens pitching great with little run support can get you into the wild card and the World Series.

first off, the yanks are tied for second place in the East (allbeit with the Blue Jays and 10.0 GB)

second, i dont think u know what pro-rated means. it means that Clemens can get 28 MILL if he made very scheduled start, and WON every scheduled start. Clemmens will only make about 15-16 MILL this year outta that contract.

and third, Clemmens isnt doing as shittty as u think he is. hes only got 2 wins htis year, but hes got 30 Ks and a WHIP of 1.11 plus in his last two starts hes gone 8.0 innings and only given up one run in each start.
