| Yankee Season? |

I'm one of those fans who 'keeps the faith', but it seems that with every game, someone else gets hurt. Granted, some of these are short term (like Jason's stiff neck and Jorge's sore back, and Bubba's hamstring), but can we make it through the season without Matsui and Pavano, and will Randy Johnson ever get "it" back? Do you think it's time to bring up the minor leaguers and groom some youth? |

Well, You cannot sell the future forever. Some of these guys (Johnson, B.Williams for example) are getting old and ineffective. They still owe them money and they have very little trade bait. They need an OF but who are they going to trade? Cano? Wang? They need to keep their best young players. Damon, Giambi, Rodriguez, Jeter are all untradeable due to their contracts. The Yanks are in danger of reverting to the Mattingly days. They did the same thing in the late 70's early 80's and it took them 4 or 5 years of mediocrity to get it back. |

Hell no! We are the yankees and we have the talent and drive to win a championship every season. Also even if we did really suck this season it's too early to say we don't have a chance this season. yankees suck always a reason for losing oh my arm is sore the sun is to bright or he looked at me yankees are losers admit it Yankees blow. Red Sox suck harder. I dislike the Yankees, but believe me they have the talent to take it all the way. You mean groom the youth like Jeter and Posada. I don't think The Boss has the patience for that. He wants quick wins now for this season. Yankees hadn't had a homegrown pitching ace since Andy Petitte. What the heck is going on in Columbus? Yes, I do hope the yankee season ends without a playoff appearance. That would be sweet. Although I think Randy Johnson lost it forever, the team still has enough power in it's lineup to overcome it. Don't be suprised if Dontrel Willis is a Yankee by the trade deadline. |
