Isn't youth travel baseball more like a job ?

As a father of a 12 year old who plays competitve baseball, it sure seems like it. Between getting him to practice 2 or 3 nights a week for a minimum of 2 hours to spending your entire weekend at the ball park, I feel like I spend more time at the ballpark than at my job. But, you know, it is worth it. I know that he is involved with something constructive and that he is enjoying what he is doing. There are so many negative things for children to be involved with these days, I am very thankful he has the love and ability to play at that level.
