| Clayton Kershaq & Matt Kemp for Johan Santana? Is this a fair deal for the Twins/? |
|
What do you think, is it fair for the twins? they're obviously going to lose Johan. No way Johan is going to stay unless Twins offer 200 mil. |

I'd most definately rather have Kemp and Kershaw then Santana. Kershaw should be close to as good as Santana if not better and adding Kemp is a bit much. Kemp should be a solid OF. I'd like that deal if I were the Twins! |

i agree and i hope the yanks pick him up short porch in right and hes a lefty so he'll have more righty matchups if he goes as free agent, if they want a trade i like that trade. I think I'd want more. Santana is a stud. 2 high end prospects are great. I want maybe them and a low end prospect. AA ball that has some potential. I think you are on the right track though. The twins will need to replace him with some serious pitching. Fair? There is no fair trade involving the best pitcher in the game. But this is how the game is and if Minnesota can not pay him then it is their job to get the most in return for him. I do not think this is a good deal at all consider you are trading away Johan for nothing but prospects and I doubt this trade goes through unless Minnesota gets back at least one position player along with these prospects. I call shenanigans. There is no way I would trade the best pitcher on the planet right now for just two top prospects. I would take those two, plus one big leaguer who has been around a few seasons, and maybe a decent seasoned vet. The biggest problem the Twins have is at 3B. Denard Spann will take over for Hunter when he leaves. That's a good deal if the Twins are not going to sign Santana. Kemp will be an All Star, especially if he stays in CF. Uhhh....No. never? thats a pointless trade for them and hed be going to a worse team |
