| Should I continue playing fastpitch in high school? |
|
I play softball and I am going to start high school. I really would like to play fastpitch the sport I love, but with all the hard classes I am taking I really don't know if I can keep my grades up and have time for it. I don't want to play in college because I really need to study then, but my brother played baseball at the same high school and is really good he nows plays college. But the thing is I am not my brother and I don't want people to be like oh well Jonathan played you need to play softball. I mean we are 2 different people. Please help. My parents know me and my brother are very different, and its just the teachers that I am afraid and his friends that will say oh be like Jonathan and play a sport. I am taking 2 sciences every year anda lot of AP classes and I also have to work so I don't want to let it go but I think I might. I talked to my mom and she said its up to me. |

I play two sports in high school and my grades have not been a problem. If I were you i wouldn't consider dropping a sport you love. Plus, softball season isn't the whole year, so it's not like it'd be effecting your grades that much if it were to. As for you brother playing baseball, just straight up tell your parents how you feel. |

ooooooooooooooook Softball is not until the spring...why not see how your grades are going and then decide. Your classes may be easier than you think. Play because you love it and dont worry about what anyone thinks..I played baseball on a boys team for years and finally switched to softball. Im going to hs this year too :0) (oh and my brother plays baseball and he will be a senior) |
